Are You Ready and Committed to Change Your Life For the Better?

Changing your life is more than starting a new job, or moving to a new residence, or even starting a college or career training course. All of those things contribute to positive life changes, but none of them are possible without first deciding for yourself that you are ready, and then committing yourself to the changes and following through. The change, after all, must come from within, and that allows you to move forward. To make change happen, you must be ready and committed to making it happen.

How many times have you heard someone say that they were going to do something as soon as they could “get themselves started?” The key to positive life change lies in that simple truism, that you cannot accomplish anything without first applying your will to the task. You have to make yourself stop doing the things that are holding you back, and move forward with a conviction that you WILL make a change, not that you “would like” to make one.

If you do not believe in your goals, you cannot achieve them. Every positive life change has to be approached with the conviction that you can do it, and that you are able to excel at that task. It is not enough to “think” that you can accomplish a goal, you have to know at the very core of your being that you are up to the task.

“My will shall shape the future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man’s doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.” ~Elaine Maxwell

You can accomplish anything you believe in. Athletes have lost limbs, and then gone on to win marathons. Homeless people have picked themselves up and become famous business owners. Anything a person can believe in and commit themselves to achieving is possible. But you must be ready and committed to making that goal a reality.

Ask yourself some questions about your goals and why you have not achieved them. Finding out why you are holding yourself back and eliminate that excuse for failure. Failure is too often the goal people strive for, under the disguise of two simple words: I can’t. The simple truth is that you can, if you decide you want to.

Are you ready to succeed at your goals? Only you can prevent you from moving forward, one step at a time, and making it happen. But once you have decided that you are truly ready and committed to what you want to accomplish, you will discover that all of the pieces begin to fall into place.

You should not allow someone else to tell you that your goals are out of reach. Surround yourself, instead, with positive people who believe in your goals. Anyone who is not willing to be part of the solution has made the choice to be part of the problem, and you should avoid such negative energy. Positive attitudes are contagious, and can make things happen, while negative attitudes hold you back.

Many people see adversity as a roadblock to moving forward. In truth, each obstacle is merely a way to achieve progress towards your goals. Tackle each one as it comes, treating them as puzzles to be solved, and consider the solution of each one as a milestone along the path to success. Each obstacle is nothing more than a stepping stone on the path to success.

” Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other thing.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Once you are ready to make a change, and committed to seeing your goals accomplished, everything falls into place. Turn a mountain of adversity into molehills of personal goals. Overcome one obstacle at a time rather than tackling all of them at once, and before you know it, you will have reached your ultimate goal. But you must first decide that you are ready and committed to making changes to better your life.

Nothing is stopping you from making positive changes in your life. It merely requires you to want those changes to happen, and to be willing apply a little positive effort. Nobody has ever made positive life changes without first deciding they were ready for those changes to happen. The energy for such change comes from within, and must be focused on what you want to achieve.
